      Project Description:

 The design philosophy will follow the JICA GWDS report, which develops the water supply in three (3) stages – Stage 1, 2 & 3. This project will develop stage 1 only. Stage 1 will supply the town residents only, with Stage 2, supplying both the town residents and Gavuone village, while Stage 3 will supply the town residents, Gavuone village and Wanigela and Waiori villages, where both villages are on stilts.

Groundwater source has been identified for the water supply system for Kupiano town with 3 bores being proposed for drilling.
