The System calculation of Bills is solely dependent on volume consumed at each band.                                                                

There are two Volume categories: Band-1 and Band-2.                                                              

The Bill is calculated progressively at the Band in which the Volume consumed falls in.

For example: Customer consumes 70kL within a month                                                                                                             

The first 30kL @ Band-1 (30 x 1.50 = K45), the next 40kL @ Band - 2 (40 x 4.61 = 184.40)                                                                        

Thus the charge would be:       K45 + K184.4 = K 229.40 (Add 10% GST = K252.34)                               

                                                                                

If the customer is connected to the Sewer, the same principle applies:    

The first 30kL @ Band-1 (30 x 0.50 = K15), the next 40kL @ Band-2 (40 x 3.46 = K138.40)

Thus the charge would be:       K15 + K184.40 = K153.40 (Add 10% GST = K168.74)                               

  

The total invoice charge now would be:   

                                                      Water charge + Sewer Charge                          

                                                           K552.75   +   K168.74                

                                                          = K441.08 Total Payable
