How Bill is Calculated

View the rates and see how we calculate your bills.

The System calculation of Bills is solely dependent on the amount (Volume) consumed regardless of the number of Days, within a billing period.

There are three Volume categories: Band-1, Band-2 and Band-3.

The Bill is calculated according to the Band in which the Volume consumed falls in.

For example: Customer consumes 70kL within a month

The first 30kL @ Band-1 (30 x K1.50 = K45), the next 40kL @ Band- 2 (K40 x K2 = K80)

Thus the charge would be:       K45 + K80 = K125 (Add 10% GST = K137.50)

                                                       Add 10% GST = K132.00

If the customer is connected to the Sewer, the same principle applies:

The first 30kL @ Band-1 (30 x K1.03 = K31.03), the next 40kL @ Band-2 (40 x k1.50 = K60)

Thus the charge would be:      K31.03 + K60 = K91.03 (Add 10% GST = K100.13)

The total invoice charge now would be:   Water charge + Sewer Charge

                                                            K137.50   +   K100.13

        = K237.3 Total Payable
